“You can feel more than one thing
You can care and stop caring
You can love two opposites
You can be more than one thing
and still be you
and still be loved.
What you can not be is a racist, homophobic, transphobic, all lives matter ass hoe and live in peace thinking that’s just an opinion and that the worthiness of other peoples’ lives is in any way up to debate.”

“Slow summer days...the subtle light that touches the dust in your bedroom air.”
Dea Karina Presents:
“Indo Radio Lockdown,” an original soundtrack experimenting with capturing and manipulating radio broadcasts that talk about COVID-19 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia combined with a synth line in the back.
“I currently live in Indonesia where there is no such thing as "summer" or as summer all year long (though when it rains, it pours). Even though this is unique in the tropical parts of the world, everyone shares the strange experience of lockdown. It may feel apocalyptic at times, and radio has been a source of both comfort and vigilance in previous world events. Nowadays, people resort to social media to find the latest news, but I am trying to recapture the nostalgia of hunting radio broadcasts by capturing sounds and manipulating them through effects and livelooping, similar to Instagram effects or boomerangs.”

An experimental jam session recorded by Keith Cary, Krista Michaela, and Natalie Anderson from their respective quarantine homes. Sisters Krista and Natalie have the joy of collaborating with their family neighbor, multi-instrumentalist and luthier Keith Cary in this improv jam that embraces the strange.
