Manya Naranzogt: Double Take

“I took these photos in 2018 on my first roll of 800 speed film. I was so excited to capture the neon of the christmas trees on my first visit through Seattle and Smith Rock. I accidentally double exposed the last half of my film but this is still my favorite reel I’ve ever captured. I felt sad and alone at this time and I think that motivated me to find the warmth of the holidays in a new city. I love how the overlapped photos become married, that each location is opposing and yet cannot be divorced, with some shots including three different ghostly prints on each other.”
